Avalanche Classes:

San Juan Snowcat will be offering Level 1 Avalanche training courses:

AIARE - Level 1 - "Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain"

2010 Class dates: 
  January 8th, 9th and 10th
  April 2nd, 3rd and 4th

What to Expect:

1. Working AIARE (American Institute for Avalanche Research & Education) Instructors.
2. Each person will receive a certificate.  Also kept on file with AIARE.
3. Price:  $350 per person
4. Classes are three days long.  24 hours of total instruction.  Some classroom and then field study.
5. Available spots: 10 per class.  We can do multiples of 10 people as well.  Just would require another instructor per 10 people.  Please contact us.
6. Pizza lunch will be provided while on mountain.
7. Two runs of snowcat skiing will be provided on “field days”.  One in the morning and one in the afternoon after classes finish.
